Is it standard go-around procedure to leave the gear down for so long? Figured you'd want to pull those up quickly to climb out.

So much to be impressed with in that video: watching the spoilers flicking, the power of those engines to pull up that fully-loaded plane, the flexibility of the wings. Simply amazing stuff.

I can't believe how close he got to touching down and then it just floats right back up like it's nothing. I guess that's what 230,000lbs of thrust will do.

It's always weird seeing how much the wings actually flex, hell the plane was almost flapping like a bird at one point.
